Environment Minister Slammed Over Housing Crisis

The Environment Minister has been slammed by Sinn Fein over his failure to deal with the housing prices.

The party made the comments after a report from Dsft.ie showed the increasing prices in the rental housing market and the lack of houses in Ireland.

Deputy Leader Mary Lou McDonald said: "Alan Kelly has been a disaster as the Minister with responsibility for housing. His failure to deal with the crisis caused soaring rent prices over the last twelve months. This has led to untold hardship including forcing some families into homelessness.

"One of Sinn Féin's key priorities in this campaign is housing and at our manifesto launch this morning I will be setting out two measures which will be key to dealing with this crisis once and for all."
