Stage 2 Sewerage Improvement Work To Start In Co Tyrone

Stage 2 of sewer improvement work in Co Tyrone is to start at the end of this month, February.

The work which is being carried out by Geda Construction in the Strabane area, is part of NI Water's ongoing Sewerage Rehabilitation Programme.

It is expected to be complete in approximately five weeks.

Essential sewer improvement work will be carried out which was identified under the investigation work carried out during Stage 1 of the project.

The work may include localised repairs, the installation of 'liners' in existing sewers, replacing sewers which are beyond their natural lifespan, as well as other associated work.

The Stage 2 works will be carried out at in the Strabane area at Abercorn Square, Barrack Street, Derry Road, Meeting House Street and Newtownkennedy Street.
