The public is being urged to attend exhibitions where they can view and discuss the details of the A5 Western Transport Corridor dual carriageway scheme in Northern Ireland.

Staff from the Department for Regional Development's Transport NI, Mouchel and the contractors will be attending the four exhibitions which will be held at different venues next week.

The four public exhibition days will run from 1pm to 9pm in the following locations:

• 01 March - Everglades Hotel, Londonderry

• 02 March - Silverbirch Hotel, Omagh

• 3 March - Fir Trees Hotel, Strabane

• 4 March - Smyth Memorial Hall, Ballygawley.

The events follow the recent publication of new draft Statutory Orders and a new Environmental Statement for the A5 scheme. Subject to the successful completion of statutory procedures, this will see construction start next year on the £150million Newbuildings to north of Strabane section of this road.
