Ministers And MLA's Discuss How NI Executive Can Deal With Homelessness

Sinn Féin MLA Alex Maskey has contacted Social Development Minister Lord Morrow and Finance Minister Mervyn Storey to discuss how the NI Executive can deal with the homelessness problem in Northern Ireland.

Mr Maskey said a joined-up approach is needed to deal with homelessness.

He said: "First and foremost I want to offer my sympathies to the family and friends of the man who died in Belfast city centre.

"There is no doubt there is a clear issue with homelessness, which has been highlighted by this latest tragic death.

"There also needs to be a link with Belfast City Council and the mayor's office in particular to co-ordinate our approach to homelessness. "
