The Green Party has called on people to vote for the to secure a new clean energy economy.
Green Party Leader Eamon Ryan said he wants to return to the Dáil to represent the social and environmental values that Irish people "still hold dear".
Mr Ryan was speaking at the opening of the Green Schools Expo in the RDS in Dublin.
He said: "It is fitting that we are bringing our campaign to a close at the Green Schools Expo, which celebrates the changes the next generation are already starting to make. Tackling the environmental challenges of our time will deliver a more stable economy and a better society. With the right political will we can deliver this transition so that Ireland leads the way in protecting our natural world.
"Throughout this campaign we have sought to expand the national debate to look at the bigger picture and at the same time we have presented practical solutions that will improve the quality of our everyday lives. We have avoided resorting to short term auction politics and negative campaigning, which is all about the past. We are opening to working with all parties to build this better future.
"A 1st preference Green vote is the best way to show that people stand for this more sustainable future."
