Work on a controlled pedestrian crossing outside a primary school in Newtownards is now complete.
The crossing, close to the entrance of Castle Gardens Primary School, was provided under the Safe Routes to Schools Initiative and represents an investment of over £35,000 in the local area.
Transport Minister Michelle McIlveen said: "This new crossing facility in Newtownards will be of great benefit to those in the area of Castle Gardens Primary School. While helping to keep local children safer, it will also encourage parents and children to walk more in the knowledge of a safe crossing point directly outside the school."
