A £100 million plan to expand the Northern Ireland Science Park is being supported by Sinn Féin.
The NI Science Park has submitted a bid for €15 million in European funds through the INTERREG scheme and a fresh bid for additional £6m in Executive funding,
MLA Máirtín Ó Muilleoir said: "I admire the bold vision of the Science Park and applaud its efforts to grow from its Titanic Quarter base. Indeed, its Northwest Science Park with dual bases in Derry and Letterkenny is an exemplar of productive cross-border co-operation.
"The inspirational drive and relentless ambition of NI Science Park convinces me that, with the right support, it can expand its office space from the current 400,000 sq. ft. to 1m sq. ft. and grow to support 7,000 knowledge economy jobs, an increase from 3,000 at present."
