The Sirocco site in Belfast has been sold.
Sinn Féin Councillor Niall Ó Donnghaile said the vacant site needs to be developed in conjunction with the local community.
Councillor Ó Donnghaile said: "It is a massive site with massive potential to help address decades of under-investment and local communities need to be central to the progression and development of the site.
"We have worked diligently with previous owners of the Sirocco site and we are keen to work closely with the new owners for the benefit of all concerned, not least the citizens of Belfast and in particularly the surrounding communities that border the site."
