A new website has launched to provide householders with advice on a range of environmental and health matters.
Livegreen.ie, launched by the Environment Protection Agency (EPA), also supports the public in accessing up to date environmental information.
Laura Burke, EPA Director General said: "Living green means making small changes at home or in our communities. In turn, living green can make a big difference to our wellbeing – and your pocket - helping you to live a more sustainable lifestyle.
"The choices we make at home influence our health and our environment, and that of our family and neighbours. Households and their community can positively influence a healthier and more sustainable future."
Live Green was developed by the EPA with expert knowledge and advice from Healthy Ireland, Irish Water and the Sustainable Energy Authority of Ireland.
