An avenue of trees has been planted to mark the 63 year reign of Her Majesty, Queen Elizabeth II, at a park on the Holywood Road in Belfast.
The avenue, at Knocknagoney Linear Park, is an 18ft tall red twigged lime trees. It was officially opened by Alderman Christopher Stalford.
He said: "I am glad this tribute is not the usual stained glass window or statue but a living growing tribute that will last for years.
"Creating this avenue of trees out in the community will help make the city a more green and pleasant land and I think it is a fitting tribute to Her Majesty for her many years of service."
