A boil water notice remains in place for many residents living in Ahascragh in Galway.

Irish Water has launched an investigation after there was a sudden change in the raw water quality that occurred in the springs which supply the Water Water Treatment Plant in Ahascragh.

The Water Treatment Plant in Ahascragh is currently not able to deliver fully compliant water and it has resulted in the boil water notice being issued.

Ongoing instigations by Irish Water have shown that no pollution incidents from slurry or chemical services have occurred in the catchment area.
