Planning permission has been approved to build Northern Ireland's largest solar farm.
Hadstone Energy, who develop, build, operate and invest in solar parks across the UK, put forward the planning applcation.
The 46MW 79 hectare solar farm in Country Antrim will be able to supply energy to 9,500 homes once completed.
Philip Deeks, Director at Hadstone Energy Limited, said: "We face a real challenge to connect the solar farm within the next 12 months, but we are hopeful that SONI and NIE will do everything they can to make this work. At the moment we are just very pleased to have been granted planning permission for such a great solar farm site.
"We are indebted to the hard work of the authorities, the landowners, Ross Planning and of course to Sarah Ewing, who has been truly excellent, just as she has been on all of our projects in Northern Ireland."
