Concerns have been raised over the High Court ruling, which prevents the destruction of the Moore Street battlefield site, may be appealed.
The Minister for Regional Development, Heather Humphreys, is being urged by Sinn Féin not to appeal the decision.
President Gerry Adams also confirmed the party is planning to introduce legislation in the coming weeks that will defend Moore Street.
Mr Adams said: "There is now a clear majority in the Dáil in favour of the preservation of Moore Street and the laneways of history.
"The continuing uncertainty in respect of the future of Moore Street is deeply insulting to the memory of the men and women of 1916 and their descendants in this centenary year of the Rising.
"The Minister should urgently make clear to the 1916 families and all of those who have campaigned for Moore St. that it will not appeal the High Court decision."
