A public inquiry is to recommence today, 21 June, over the proposed North South Interconnector project.
The Planning Appeals Commission (PAC) is to meet at the Armagh City Hotel over Phase One of the hearing.
Only preliminary issues will be discussed.
Robin McCormick, General Manager of System Operator for Northern Ireland (SONI), said: "The North South Interconnector is SONI’s priority project. “It remains an urgent necessity to ensure Northern Ireland has enough electricity to meet demand in the coming years.
"The project as proposed will also allow the full implementation of the Single Electricity Market on the island of Ireland, which should have a significant positive impact on electricity bills in Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland."
