A Spanish firm has acquired an Irish energy company.
Gas Natural Fenosa (GNF) has bought Vayu in a deal that closed this week.
GNF is a leading integrated gas and power group of companies, active in 30 countries with 23 million customers and total assets of €48,132 million.
For GNF, the acquisition of Vayu is part of the fulfillment of the new strategic plan which envisages growth in energy marketing in European markets. The transaction strengthens the Group's strategic position and footprint in the European markets and will enhance the development of LNG operations and trading.
