Irish energy firm ESB has scooped a prestigious accolade at the 2016 Chambers Ireland CSR Awards which took place in Dublin.
The firm won the Outstanding Achievement in Corporate Social Responsibility Award for having its CSR practices embedded at the company's core and for its ongoing dedication to community engagement and responsible business practice.
Pat Naughton, Executive Director Group People and Sustainability at ESB, said: "ESB is delighted to win the Outstanding Achievement in CSR Award. ESB has always, since its foundation in 1927, had a strong sense of corporate responsibility. Before the language of Corporate Social Responsibility was ever spoken, as a company, we have been supporting communities and programmes that enhance our economic and social fabric.
"CSR is an embedded part of our company and our culture - it is how we do business. It is an honour to receive this award and have our CSR contribution recognised by our peers."
