Irish energy supplier Vayu has achieved a 100% renewable electricity rating for all electricity supplied to its customers according to the latest Fuel Mix and CO2 Emissions report by the Commission for Energy Regulation.

The report shows that Vayu achieved a rating of zero tonnes CO2 per megawatt hour supplied and is the only 'All-Island' supplier to achieve a 100% renewable electricity rating.

Liam Faulkner, Chief Operating Officer of Vayu, said: "Environmental considerations are playing a greater role when businesses purchase electricity – across both the private and public sectors. Access to renewable electricity is becoming a very important issue as companies look to minimise their carbon footprint and limit the environmental impact of their activities. Vayu helps customers reduce their costs through efficiency measures and sensible procurement strategies all the while supplying 100% renewable-sourced electricity."
