Clanmil Announces Plans To Build Almost 50 Social Homes

Clanmil Housing Association is planning to build almost 50 new social houses in Carrickfergus.

The development, if approved, will be located on the site of the old Woodside's Supermarket at Joymount.

Alliance East Antrim MLA Stewart Dickson welcomed the announcement.

He said: "Nearly 50 new homes will be built in this development. It is well needed in Carrickfergus and will hopefully begin in spring 2017.

"I commend Clanmil on their excellent consultation with the community to date. I also trust the Mid and East Antrim Council planners and elected representatives will ensure this much anticipated facility becomes a reality."
