A £190,000 road resurfacing project is to begin in Portglenone, Co Antrim.
The structural maintenance scheme on the B52 Largy Road is to start on Monday, 10 October.
The scheme from Aughnahoy Road to Carnearney Road will provide 1.5 kilometres of new asphalt road surface.
Work is expected to be completed on Friday, 21 October.
Sinn Féín MLA Declan Kearney welcomed the announcement.
He said: "This particular project will improve a main road artery linking South Antrim with neighbouring North Antrim and South Derry."
