Water charges in Ireland are only being kept alive by Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, according to Sinn Fein.
The party made the announcement after no provision was included in Budget 2017 to scrap the water charges.
Spokesperson on water Eoin Ó Broin TD said it "means that there is a €129 million hole in their budget figures".
He said: "The net cost of scrapping water charges is €129 million. If water charges are scrapped next March where will the government get this money from? What services will they cut?
"Their failure to make provision for this begs the question whether Fine Gael and Fianna Fail are working on a dodgy deal to keep this unjust charge in place.
"Sinn Féin has shown in our alternative budget how water charges can be scrapped while at the same time significantly increasing investment in upgrading our water services. Its time for the government act and bring this sorry saga to an end."
