Co Louth has received the lowest funding for housing adaptions for the elderly and disabled people.
Sinn Fein TD Imelda Munster said the funding of €121,955 is "shocking" and "disgraceful.
She said: "The paltry sum given to Louth is disgraceful as year on year the scheme is only open for several weeks due to the lack of funding and applicants are regularly turned down.
"This comes on top of beds for the elderly being closed in Louth County Hospital and the Cottage Hospital, which has a threat of closure hanging over it.
"It is total hypocrisy for this government speak of encouraging elderly people to live independently at home and then give a pittance in grants to do so.
"These figures make a mockery of Louth being an "Age Friendly County". I fully intend to take this matter up with the Minister and I will call on him to start treating our elderly and people with disabilities with the respect that they deserve."
