Construction Work Expected To Start On A5 Project In Late 2017

Construction work on the A5 Western Transport Corridor in the North West is expected to start in late 2017.

Sinn Féin MLA Declan McAleer welcomed progress on the A5 road upgrade project.

He said: "Martin McGuinness told the Assembly that the inspector's report on the project is due in May 2017 and that, subject to the successful completion of statutory procedures, it is expected to move to the construction phase in late 2017.
