Sinn Féin is once again calling for the water charges in Ireland to be scrapped.
The party made the call after its TD, Eoin Ó Broin, challenged the Tánaiste to put an end to the Fine Gael/Fianna Fáil "stitch up" on the charges.
Deputy Ó Broin said: "Fine Gael's mishandling of the issue of water is set to continue with the motions to establish the Committee on the Future Funding of Domestic Water Services due to be before the Dáil.
"The way this committee has been created confirms yet another stitch up between Enda Kenny and Micheál Martin, as the government decides to impose Senator Pádraig Ó Céidigh as chairperson of the Committee.
"The Tánaiste knows that this is contrary to normal procedure. Ministers do not have the right to handpick Committee chairs.
"This is just another example of the government's failure to decisively deal with the issue of water charges. There was no need for an expert commission, People voted for the abolition of this unjust charge."
