Technical Feasibility Report On Site Options For New School Complete

A technical feasibility report on site options for a new grammar school in Enniskillen, Co Fermanagh, has been completed.

The preferred site option for the new Enniskillen Royal Grammar School will be on the former Portora Royal School site, according to Education Minister Peter Weir.

Minister Weir said: "The preferred option will be confirmed once the business case is complete which I expect to happen within the next few months. As soon as the business case is agreed, we will be able to procure a design team to move this project forward.

"This is good news for teachers and pupils who are currently operating across two sites since the school opened in September 2016. A considerable amount of work remains to be done before the new school will open, however I am committed to delivery of the project which will move the new school onto a single site."
