A construction firm has started refurbishment work at the former Teagasc building in Cork.
Cork County Council selected Conack Construction to carry out the work at its County Hall campus.
The work has been designed by the county Architects Department and will provide for the relocation of the County Fire Services and Building Control Department currently located in rented accommodation in Ballincollig.
The work is scheduled to be completed in October 2017.
The project will consolidate County resources on campus, exploit existing unused building stock in line with sustainable building practices and reconfigure the campus to allow for increased pedestrian connectivity.
