The National Trust has transformed timber from the Lagan Weir footbridge in Belfast into picnic tables, benches and signage.

The timber, donated by Graham Construction, has now been transformed and installed at Minnowburn Park on the outskirts of Belfast.

The new furniture is being used to improve the visitor experience at the park's Terrace Hill Garden and includes two benches for smaller alcoves, two large benches for the garden rotunda and two family picnic tables. A suite of 14 marking posts were also crafted from the timber and is helping walkers navigate their way around trails.
