Contractors Dixons has installed over 70 new kitchens in social homes in Ballymena, Co Antrim.
The Northern Ireland Housing Executive (NIHE) invested over £350,000 in the kitchen replacement scheme.
Ahoghill woman Emily Fleming was delighted with her new kitchen.
She said: "There was a small back hall but that was taken away when the kitchen units were installed, now I can fit in a dining table. It means I spend a lot more time in the kitchen, I’m in here all the time."
NIHE's Area Manager, Mairead Myles Davey, said: "A kitchen is the heart of a home that's why it’s so important that tenants are given the option of choosing their own units, worktops and tiles, so they are getting the kitchen they really want.
"It's lovely to meet Emily and see first-hand the improvements in tenants’ homes, which brings benefits to their lives every day. This investment is building on the Housing Executive’s continued commitment to maintain and improve our homes."
