A proposal to charge owners of Beacon Quarter South apartments to fix building defects has been passed by the management company in charge of the complex, it has been reported.
It is understood the levy will be an average of €10,000 each to fix the problems with the apartments which are in Sandyford, south Dublin.
A vote on the issue was held at the management company AGM on Thursday.
RTÉ has reported that the resolution dealing with water ingress issues was passed with 349 for, 139 against and 92 abstaining; while another resolution dealing with fire issues was passed with 423 for, 153 against and 11 abstaining.
The result now means that the additional money for a sinking fund will be sought from owners.
Many residents have voiced their frustration and disappointment with the vote.
The overall bill for repairs is for more than €10m.
