Irish Water has completed work on a €55,000 watermain project in Slane, Co Meath.
The firm connected customers in Riverview to a new watermain which has improved the security of the water supply.
Padraig Farrell, Capital Programmes Lead, East and Midlands Region, said: "The replacement of the aging watermain in Riverview has delivered a more reliable and secure water supply for customers. The new watermain will reduce leakage on the network which is a key target for Irish Water. By 2021 Irish Water has committed in its Business Plan to reduce leakage on the public water network to less than 38%. This project is part of our ongoing investment in Ireland's water infrastructure."
