A project to upgrade the Annabella Roundabout in Mallow, Co Cork, has commenced.
The works started this week and are expected to continue until 30 June, 2017.
The project will see the roundabout reconfigured to enable two lanes of traffic to circulate around the central island, thereby increasing the throughput of vehicles.
ESB services will be placed underground and redundant poles will be removed, while telecom services will be relocated and a new watermain will be installed.
In addition, new signage and landscaping, as well as new roadmarkings will also be delivered.
