Congress And Union To Launch Initiative On Housing And Homeless Emergency

Congress and union SIPTU are to launch an initiative on the current housing and homeless emergency on Monday, 15 May.

The document will be launched by Congress General Secretary, Patricia King and SIPTU General President, Jack O'Connor.

The proposals would double current annual planned public house-building output, along with specific initiatives to tackle problems in the rental sector and achieve greater overall state investment in social and affordable housing.
