Council Issues Warning Over Bogus Tradesmen

Monaghan County Council has issued a warning to residents living in the Smithborough area to be aware of bogus tradesmen attempting to gain access to homes.

Bogus tradesmen, claiming to be from the council, are believed to be seeking access onto the roofs of houses in the area.

The council confirmed that all of its tradesmen carry identification.

The council said: "Please be vigilant. Should you observe this, we advise you to note down the van registration and contact the Gardaí."
