NIE Networks is to begin an electricity network upgrade project in Lisburn.
The project involves laying a new underground power cable along the Mullaghcarton Road. The scheme will begin on 24 July and take around 11 weeks to complete. Completion is scheduled for October 2017.
The scheme is part of an investment to upgrade the electricity network in the area and help Northern Ireland meet government targets for renewable energy
Teams of specialised engineers will be working on the project to lay the cable. To carry out the work safely, the Mullaghcarton Road will be closed from its junction with Cross Lane to its junction with Yewtree Hill Road.
NIE Networks said it would be writing to all affected customers to provide them with information on the road closure and access arrangements.
