Consultants To Carry Out Surveys On Development Of Pier On Inis Oírr

Galway County Council can now employ consultants to carry out various surveys on the development of the Pier on Inis Oírr.

The surveys due to take place are a bathymetric survey, a condition survey and a site audit. It is part of the preparatory work for the pier development. Minister of State Joe McHugh said: "I am pleased to be able to make this announcement today. I understand that it is just one small step but it demonstrates that my Department and Galway County Council are dedicated to advancing this project."
