Significant progress is being made to improve the water supply in Cookstown.
The scheme on the Moneymore Road has been completed and work will now be carried out on the Morgans Hill Road in mid-August for approximately eight weeks. In order to facilitate the works, Morgans Hill Road will be closed to southbound traffic. The work will be completed in sections to keep disruption to a minimum and diversion signage will be in place. There will be no restrictions to north bound traffic.
However, on street parking will be restricted throughout the programme of work.
Derek Crabbe NI Water Project Manager said: "This Water Mains Improvement Project is progressing well and will deliver what matters to our customers by improving essential water supply services. The upgraded water mains will improve the quality, reliability and security of the local water supply, while reducing leakage and improving pressure in the area."
