Tender For Fit Out Of Garda Station Published

A tender for the fit out of the Glanmire Garda Station in Cork has been published.

The site at Sallybrook Industrial Estate is to be upgraded and refurbished to include an extension to the Mezzanine level.

Cork North Central TD, Billy Kelleher, welcomed the announcement.

He said: "This project has been subject to long and protracted delays over the past number of years and this tender publication will help bring the opening of the new Garda Station one step closer.

"It's imperative that this tender process is concluded as quickly as possible to ensure that the opening of the new station is not delayed any further.

"As the local TD, I will keep in close contact with the OPW and Garda management to ensure that the community of Glanmire benefits from this new station as soon as possible."
