Work is to start on a £151,000 road improvement project in Downpatrick, Co Down.
Work on the A25 Strangford Road will begin on Monday, 04 September.
The resurfacing scheme, which will include drainage works, will greatly improve the strength and surface quality of a 1.1km stretch of the A25 Strangford Road from the Saul Mills Road junction in the Downpatrick direction. It is due for completion by 06 October.
To facilitate the works, a temporary road closure will be in place between 9am and 4pm daily from Monday 04 September to Friday, 06 October.
The road will remain open overnight and at weekends.
The diversion route will be signed with traffic being diverted via Ardglass and Strangford using A25 Strangford Road/New Bridge Street/Church Street, Irish Street/Stream Street, B1 Killough Road/Ardglass Road/Downpatrick Road, A2 Strangford Road/Ardglass Road and A25 Downpatrick Road/Strangford Road.
