Budget 2018 has given disappointment to the people working within the homeless community in Ireland, according to Sinn Fein.
Deputy spokesperson on Housing Dessie Ellis said the Budget measures gave no hope to those hoping for a resolution to the homeless crisis.
Deputy Ellis said: "Last week's Budget fell on world homeless day. I was critical of the budget's failure to implement measures and to allocate resources that would go towards helping to alleviate the housing and homeless crisis. The Budget lacked of any real initiatives to resolve the homeless crisis and will not solve the housing and homeless crises. It will also not prevent future housing crises or help reduce homeless numbers."
