Two Pieces Of Machinery Seized In Co Armagh

Two pieces of machinery have been seized by the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and the PSNI following searches targeting illegal waste in co Armagh.

The joint operation took place in the Middletown area on Saturday, 28 October.

It targeted waste offences being committed at an illegal scrap yard.

Investigations are ongoing.

A spokesman for the Department of Agriculture, Environment and Rural Affairs (DAERA) said: "The operation underlines our commitment to work with partner agencies to protect the environment by disrupting illegal activity and detecting criminal offences."
