Farrans Construction has been appointed to replace old water mains in Leitrim.
The project is part of Irish Water's National Leakage Reduction Programme.
The firm is to begin work on the Mount Campbell Water Main Replacement project on Monday, 27 November, and it is expected to take around 15 weeks to complete.
It involves replacing all service connections and ancillary works in the townlands of Mount Campbell and Drumsna.
The work will be limited to short sections to minimise impact on customers. The works may involve some planned short-term water shut offs, however, the project team will ensure that customers are given a minimum notice period of 48 hours.
Traffic management will be in place for the duration of the works and local and emergency traffic will be maintained at all times. Works will finish up for Christmas on Friday, 22 December, and will recommence on Monday, 08 January 2018.
