The acquisition for a site to develop a new National School in Wexford is at an advanced stage, according to the Education Minister.
Minister Richard Bruton confirmed that a shortlist of preferred site options has been chosen to build a new Educate Together National School.
Fianna Fáil TD for Wexford, James Browne, said: "The Department of Education has also started engagement with the relevant landowners and further progress is expected once these discussions conclude.
"I will continue following up on this issue with Minister Bruton. The local community have been waiting many years for the new school and it's important it is delivered as soon as possible."
