Dam To Be Repaired Near Carrickfergus

Essential work is being carried out to repair a dam near Carrickfergus.

NI Water is required to drain the Lower South Woodburn Dam as the water is dropping in a controlled manner.

As soon as the water level has dropped sufficiently, workers can access and investigate a suspected faulty valve.

Customers will not be affected.

NI Water has been liaising with the Northern Ireland Environment Agency (NIEA) and Inland Fisheries to advise them of the actions we are taking.
