The Irish Congress of Trade Unions (ICTU) have outlined a five point plan on how to tackle the housing crisis in Ireland.
Sinn Féin Housing spokesperson Eoin Ó Broin welcomed proposals from the ICTU and said a minimum of 10,000 new social homes need to be built annually.
He said: "The right to housing needs to be enshrined in the Constitution, tenants need rent certainty & greater security of tenure, evictions that would result in homelessness should be outlawed and publicly owned land must provide affordable housing.
"We look forward to working with ICTU and the Unions and actively campaigning to secure these goals."
