Significant progress has been made on sewer improvement works in Groomsport, Co Down.
NI Water has invested £220,000 in the scheme to upgrade the existing infrastructure on the Donaghadee Road.
The work is expected to be completed in June this year.
NI Water will continue to liaise with the Department for Infrastructure and all of its stakeholders to try to minimise the impact of the works on residents, businesses, road users and the public. A temporary road closure is currently in place on the Donaghadee Road, with vehicular access maintained for residents and pedestrian access available at all times.
The current road closure will remain in place until 29 March, and works will be suspended and the road re-opened for a short period over Easter.
A spokesperson from NI Water said: "After Easter, work on the Donaghadee Road will recommence under a lane closure. During this time, two-way traffic will be maintained with the use of temporary traffic lights, with traffic able to access Groomsport Village from either direction."
