Plans To Build New Lidl Store Welcomed

Fine Gael has welcomed the announcement that retailer Lidl is to develop a new store in Dublin.

The firm plans to open a new store in Fortunestown.

TD Colm Brophy said: "This is a terrific endorsement of their relationship with the local community which has been fostered over many years.

"The decision to rebuild the store is particularly good news for the employees. I know the announcement by Lidl that all jobs would be safe was appreciated by everyone.

"This investment in the Citywest/ Jobstown area is very positive and I know that Lidl will be a cornerstone of the community here for many years to come."
