Mid Ulster District Council is preparing to move a Coalisland public realm scheme to its next stage which proposes plans for new footways and parking.

The £2.75 million scheme also includes plans for new loading bays, stone kerbing, street furniture, tree planting, and improved lighting and drainage.

Further technical assessments have also been completed and local people are now being invited to give their final views on the scheme.

The final details of two options have been published, including traffic modelling videos which show how proposed one-way traffic flows would operate in the town if adopted for Main Street and The Square.

The Council is expected to submit a funding application to the Department for Communities (DfC).
