A Chinese pharmaceutical giant is set to invest $500 million in a new facility in Dundalk, Co Louth.
According to a report from Sunday Business Post yesterday, April 29, WuXI AppTec's investment will create around 400 new jobs when completed.
A site at the IDA industrial park on Dundalk's Inner Relief Road is being earmarked for the project.
Sinn Féin's Gerry Adams said: "Reports of a significant multi million investment in Dundalk are to be welcomed. This will be a much needed employment boost for the construction industry, as well as skilled workers in the Pharma industry.
"A serious effort must now be made by government to ensure that the necessary training is provided to ensure maximum employment potential for local citizens."
