Clare Bridge To Reopen Following Structural Works

The Latoon Creek Bridge in Clare is expected to reopen next week following works to strengthen its structure.

The bridge will now be able to carry maximum allowable vehicle weights, compared to the previous bridge which had an 18 tonne limit in place.

Construction work is substantially complete on the project, however L&M Keating will continue works with a temporary traffic management in place.

The R458 between Exit 11 and Clarecastle will also reopen alongside the bridge.

Funding for the project was provided by the Department of Transport, Tourism and Sport.
