South Dublin County Council (SDCC) has welcomed proposals under the new €15 million nationwide development scheme.
Projects are now being accepted for submission to the Town and Village Renewal Scheme 2018.
The scheme aims to support the revitalisation of towns and villages in order to improve their economic development.
It is targeted at smaller towns with a population of less than 10,000. Towns or villages with a population of less than 5,000 are allocated 60% of the scheme funds.
Funding is provided through the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural, and Gaeltacht Affairs.
SDCC has set a deadline of 06 June for proposals to be submitted under the scheme.
