Cherrywood Town Centre Development To Create 3,000 Jobs

A new £1 billion town centre development in Cherrywood, Dublin, is to create 3,000 jobs.

The project, cited the biggest single urban development in the country, will include 1,269 apartments and 585,000 sq ft of retail, office and leisure space.

The urban centre will have an array of bars and restaurants and a 200 room hotel.

Cherrywood town centre will provide housing for over 3,200 people, office accommodation for 2,300 and employment for an additional 2,500 retail and leisure workers.

International developer Hines has received planning permission for the project, and will develop the residential part of the site in partnership with Dutch pension investor APG Asset Management.

Dún Laoghaire-Rathdown Council issued planning permission as part of a Strategic Development Zone.
